I’ll Help You Create a Blueprint for the Success of Your Website
Many designers will only be focused on how you want your site to look and what you want it to do. Those are among my concerns as well, but I’m also interested in why. That helps us to figure out an online strategy for your site and helps you get the most out of it.
We’ll start by discussing some basics:
- What is your business?
- Who is your target audience?
- What are you looking for in a website?
- How do you plan on using and maintaining it?
- What is your budget?
- What do you need / have?
Based on all of this, the online strategy, or “why” of the site, will become clearer. We may find that certain features are either unnecessary or best left for a later stage in the site’s development. There’s no sense in spending money on features that don’t get used or don’t add value to the user experience or the business.
Developing an online strategy includes things outside of the site as well. For example, could social networks play an active role in your marketing? Will it make more sense to outsource different parts of the site to other sites (i.e. letting Square, Amazon, or Shopify handle your e-commerce)? Can you feasibly sell online advertising space? Will you need an email list handler to connect to your customers?
It’s a lot to consider all at once, but I can help you create that solid blueprint that helps you create an awesome and effective site within your budget.
