While I was a student at IADT, I was exposed to a wide variety of languages and software. This was an assignment for a Flash class that I had taken, in which we were to take five words and animate them according to their definition. For example, if you chose the word “slide”, you had to make the word slide in from the side of the screen. I had more fun with it and decided to add some personality to the words. While I understand that Flash has since declined sharply in usage and support, I learned an awful lot about vector animation, motion curves, usability, sound sync, and exactly how twisted my sense of humor truly is in this assignment, and felt it was worth including in the portfolio, if for no other reason than adding levity to it.
